On popular demand introducing a mini version of Taiyō diffuser. It is an original stoneware art piece featuring a sleeping moon busting open the sun in half. It is a representation of two opposing powers. Combining these two in one symbol represents acceptance that opposing powers exist within all of us and finding peace with that truth.
When given a lit incense cone or cleansing medicine of choice, Taiyō smokes from its mouth! It feels like a calming face radiating positivity.
The making: After slowly drying for weeks, it was fired in the kiln until hard and porous. The piece is dipped in an in-house glaze recipe to accentuate the feel, then fired twice more.
Due to the materials and hand-building technique, all pieces are different and one of a kind. Tool marks and small imperfections are part of the handmade process.
